Gas-Fuelled Heaters

MUCH ADO ABOUT GAS – AND NOT FOR NOTHING!

A gas-fuelled heater is the most cost-effective choice for high power needs. The efficiency of gas-fuelled dryers has been improved even more in recent years, and drying with gas is now significantly more affordable compared to oil.

All of gas-fuelled Antti heaters are Vacboost vacuum heaters which have superior efficiency. They are efficient and economical heaters for grain dryers. Due to the vacuum principle, they operate as direct combustion, so flue gases do not reduce efficiency. Unlike other drying heaters, the gas is not passed through a heat exchanger. However, the flue gases are also used in the drying process, which makes the efficiency 100%. Since gas-fuelled dryers do not have a heat exchanger, then chimneysweeping is not necessary either.

The Antti Vacboost gas-fuelled heaters are equipped with a modulating burner, the power of which is automatically adjusted to meet the current need. The fuel used is natural or liquefied gas. There is enough power for even demanding use, regardless of the outside temperature and the type of grain.

Rent or buy

Compared to the costs of the oil equipment, with the same financial investment, a gas-fuelled heater provides double the power. For dryers, you can apply for the Finnish Food Authority's investment aid. For these dryers, a gas-fuelled heater is directly comparable with a oil-fuelled heater. The gas tank and vaporiser can be rented from the gas supplier, in which case the rental costs are around 2,000 euros per year. The costs of the pressure reducer, the installation of the pipelines and the approvals must also be taken into account. You can also buy the gas tank and vaporiser for yourself.

Choose gas, when:

  • you require at least 350 hectolitres
  • your power requirement is more than 700 kW
  • you are looking for the most efficient drying solution

Vacboost heaters with gas burners
